Super Glyph Quest App Reviews

Fun but needs adjustments

Difficult to obtain enough in-game currency and items to craft/buy items, armor, weapons. Also leveling up the character seems disproportional to the available missions - meaning, make it faster/easier to level up or increase the character strength much more every level up.

Great game, but

It has critical flaws: World map not fully functional (cant access story quest. Zone is highlighted, but not expanding) 2. Two tiles types are not showing up at all (i thought you just had to unlock them, but saw them used in completed missions in screenshots) 3. Cant seem to find any combos at all. No matter what I try. All in all, its a good game, but $3 should come with a better execution. I hope an update comes soon, because it is not worth playing right now

Ok

It was a decent 4 star game at first, but after a week Im discounting it to a 1 star game.

Great Match-3 RPG with no IAP

If you like Match-3 RPG games, this one should be a no-brainer to pick up. The matching mechanic is easy to learn but has lots of room for strategy and tactics, especially once you open up some of the more advanced spell casting methods. You should also buy the original Glyph Quest - both are great fun!

Evolving gameplay

Ive played 100s of iOS games and this is only the second Ive felt compelled to review. The first Glyph Quest was great and this builds upon that excellent base. My favorite part of this game is how your strategy needs to evolve as more features become unlocked. The early game is all about stringing together simple matched chains. The mid game requires status impacting combo chains. And finally, the late game requires manipulating the board to always have 6-tile summon chains available to absorb the massive damage output of the final enemies. Great game!

Needs work

Has great potential, but there are way too many problems. 1. Too much grinding. This really wouldnt be an issue if the grinding stages themselves were easy and didnt require a bunch of items to get through, but the stages are so difficult that it becomes exhausting just to grind. 2. The battles are really, really slow. Maybe fix the battle speed button to actually work? Also the animations are way too slow. 3. The controls are unresponsive. I have to wait forever after an opponent moves to make mine. Then mid move, the game doesnt recognize when Ive moved over a glyph and so its a frustrating process to make a single move. This game has a lot of great aspects to it, but it needs a whole lot of backend work to make it not frustrating. 2.

Excellent

So much added and improved from the first! Should be getting more attention and love!!

Fun and engaging

Neat little match-3 RPG hybrid. Easy to play one-handed, has a nice art style, and a good bit of humor. Devs seem genuinely interested in continual improvement and listening to feedback.

Funny and fun

Nice take on match 3 with some quippy writing. Interesting battle mechanics with a campaign that seems pretty robust.

Mobile is NOT A PLACE FOR GAMES

Mobile devices are not a place for games, Id suggest the Nintendo 3ds or playstation vita if you want to have any hope of making money off this Mobile devices being used to play games on is silly, thats what the vita and 3ds are DESIGNED for. People dont pay for apps they just want a free time waster. In fact 99% of apps make no money at all, mobile developers need to head on over to real game devices which I hope you do because your game deserves the money ( you get one star as to encourage you to dump mobile for real gaming devices ) Silly mobile game crap needs to end

Great game

Lots of fun, and really well executed. Great stuff!

Wont even start on my iPhone 6

Im sure this is an isolated bug, but the game freezes as soon as it logs into GameCenter on my iPhone 6. Ive heard good things about the game, so I am sorely disappointed by the crashes.

This game is the best

Instead of getting yet another copycat matching game, try something original like Super Glyph Quest. Everything about this game is excellent.

Please Fix!!! Still glitching...

Love this game. Loved the first game. Unfortunately the game is still glitching after the update -- cant get off the pack screen in battles after getting the Robounicorn item. Wont let any items be used which is super frustrating. 5 stars without the glitches!!!

Great fun

This is a really excellent puzzle RPG. Its funny, with charming graphics and audio. The difficulty and complexity ramps up at a nice smooth pace. It has some depth yet never takes itself too seriously. Battles are short, great for mobile gaming. It runs great on my iPhone 4S and iPad 4. My only request would be for iCloud syncing between devices.

Very well balanced, doesnt penalize harshly for failure; just play smarter

This isnt an easy game, but its not impossible. The (possibly final?) worst boss Ive faced is properly very difficult to beat. The worst punishment in this game is that you must replay the adventure levels to regain healing items and money for healing items. The game rewards you for figuring out better ways to make chains and better setups to get the spells you need. Itd be one thing if you needed in-app purchasing and the game was somehow unfair, but this game is fair. You know how you died, and if you lost, it wasnt because the game was programmed to pull off some highly improbable action to defeat you. You pay once for it and have all the time (and no need to spend more money) to improve your skills.

Excellent game but glitchy

Super fun to play but there are A LOT of glitches. Items screen gets stuck and game occasionally crashes.

Lacks variety

So here is the basic pattern after 30 minutes of gameplay - a quest appears, you fight much stronger enemies and die, buy potions and try again, repeat. The fighting(?) consists of sliding your finger across icons of various types...every single time. Talk about monotonous! Doesnt that sound like fun?! I dont understand the high reviews.

Interesting but eventually boring

I really like match games with an interesting premise. Super Glyph Quest matches that description, at least at first. The semi-sandbox environment is neat, the RPG-like concept fun, but after a few hours, it gets quite boring. Follow the story, encounter four or five enemies in an encounter, select from a lot of the same glyphs (at least for the first nine levels. Kind of gave up after that), rinse and repeat. Like I said, enjoyable at first but really repetitive.

Great game!

Love this game. Cool twist on match 3!
